Model 2.5 Hybrid

What do you get when you combine a Model 2 head and the Model 3s amazing hickory handle?  The Model 2.5 Hybrid!

The Model 2.5 Hybrid is a robust hammer poll tomahawk with an aggressive 4.125" cutting edge.  In addition to the sharpened main edge, the Model 2 has a true hammer at the back of the head making it a great companion around camp. The bearded design allows for a high grip, facilitating more accurate fine motor skill work.  The Model 2.5 Hybrid has a wonderful multi-position handle that is well suited in the woods or in a combative environment.  We are making the handles on a 1904 Defiance lathe that was purpose built for the Rock Island Arsenal to produce Springfield 1903 Rifles.  Nothing is as cool as making handles on a 119 year old Defiance gun stock lathe!
